SEINFELD'S DENTIST DID THAT ON THE SHOW AND GOT BUSTED FOR IT. I DONT THINK YOU CAN GET ANYTHING LIKE THAT WITHOUT BREAKING THE LAW IN SOME WAY. YOU SHOULD GO TO THE AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION WEB SITE AND ASK THEM.
How hard would it be to find a physician that would look favorably on providing certain supplements to a "friend" of mine looking to <s>qualify for Boston</s> er, help alleviate his knee pain??

What supplements is your "friend" considering? Has he/she/it tried physical therapy?
It probably depends on what supplements you are talking about.
Are they perscription only, or are they readily available? Depending what they are, if you can find an MD who lookis favorably on "Holistic" rememdies...that might be an option.
Clarify here, Jumper.
Well, I talked to my friend and he's interested in non OTC "enhancement products." I believe he mentioned HGH or IGF-1, and possibly EPO.
I'll have to check with him to make sure.
I know what HGH is...but not the other two.
What are their availability to the public?

IGF-1 is the labratory name for HGH. EPO is a "medication" that helps create more red blood cells which allows more oxygen to get to the muscles.
Or so I've been told. Actually, my buddy is most interested in HGH and something called Andro.
(From my internet research for my friend who doesn't have access to a computer)
Andro, much like DHEA, can have powerful effects on muscle-building and athletic performance. Andro is only one step away from testosterone. Therefore, by itself, it is not a muscle builder; but after the liver converts it to testosterone-watch out, BIG gains are on their way. Studies conducted on andro indicate that when taken orally, androstenedione produces significantly more testosterone than either a placebo or DHEA. In fact, East German athletes have used andro to improve their athletic performance in the Olympics since 1980. According to German records, their athletes experienced raises in testosterone levels as significant as 140% to 183% of normal with 50 mg of andro and incredibly 211% to 237% of normal with 100 mg of andro! These testosterone boosts have lead many athletes to improving their performance and lean muscle mass.

I have been using Androgel for about a year now and I love it.
About 4 years ago I started feeling edgy and was having trouble concentrating. Went to my Family Doc and he did what 99% of Docs do and gave me Wellbutrin which is for Depression. My symptoms went away, but I gained weight and lost interest in sex.
Last year GAE read an article about low levels of testosterone and the symptoms matched. I went to my Urologist and had my T levels checked.
I have been on Androgel for about a year now and I have gone back to the gym, lost 35 pounds and GAE is very happy.
Andro is great stuff.
